Don’t miss the ODIN STRING QUARTET performing Friday, March 1st at ArrayMusic!

Our great SPO Ensemble-in-Residence, THE ODIN STRING QUARTET, will be performing on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 8 pm at ARRAYMUSIC (155 Walnut Ave., Toronto). You won’t want to miss this talented group with Alex Toskov (violin), Tanya Charles (violin), Veronica Lee (viola), and Samuel Bisson (cello). This concert will feature new compositions from SPO talent, including Bruno Degazio, Alex Eddington, Kevin Zi-Xiao He, Shreya Jha, Chris Meyer and Ronald Royer. Show your support of Canadian talent!

Thank you to everyone for making our Holiday Concert one of the best ever!

Our Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 1, 2018 was a truly fantastic experience for our perfomers, audience and dignitaries. We wanted to send thanks to our guest performers: David McCartney and the St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Youth and Adult Choirs — Andres Tucci Clarke, Claudia Liedke and the Sistema Scarborough Youth Choir — Yiping Chao and the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra Women’s Choir — and special guest singer, Jacelyn Holmes. The SPO was also honoured to have MPP Salma Zahid and Mr. Zahid join us for some of our festivities. Again, a fun time was had by all.

Support our Food and Toy Drive partners on December 1, 2018!

The Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra is hoping that you can help us support special holiday drives which support friends of the SPO. There’s a few ways you can help families and children in need in our community. 1) Bring a non-perishable food item with you to our December 1st Holiday Concert and support The Salvation Army Food Bank. Most needed are tuna, peanut butter, rice and pasta. Or 2), you can bring an unwrapped toy or gift for a child aged infant to 16 years old and we will deliver them to the Delta Bingo & Gaming Centre Downsview “Toy Drive”

Thanks to the SPO and Kara Huber for a wonderful evening of great music!

Congratulations to Maestro Ronald Royer and our musicians on a very successful concert last night to open our 39th Season. Special thanks to guest pianist Kara Huber for your strong and passionate performance of Brahms Piano Concert No. 2.  Our audience and friends had an awesome time. We also send thanks to our SPO volunteers, led by Board member Heather Castrucci, and to our SPO team who all helped make our guests and dignitaries feel welcome and comfortable. We were also pleased that Scarborough Centre MP Salma Zahid was able to join us during the second half of the concert.
